About Aarrk Gardens

The Aarrk Garden is a 501c3 non-profit vegetable garden with strawberries and asparagus. The Aarrk Garden employs the homeless and gives vegetables away to pantries, shelters and clinics.
We are now located on a 2 acre property with a house in Hebron IL, coming from a one acre garden on a church property in Crystal Lake IL. We have a hoop house and 35 chickens, 2 goats and a home for our manager who was previously homeless.
Recently, we added a new professional stainless steel sink, an office trailer and a school program that will be teaching the local children planting and harvesting vegetables as well as harvesting seed. The children will be learning about the challenges of homelessness while practicing organic agriculture gardening.
